Every DR steam loco is a rarity and I expect to pay a premium but this is a steal at £75 plus £5.50 postage. The BR93 was the most common branch line loco in Thuringia in the 50-70s, the Roco version is by far the most common type used.

Old road vehicles
I am slowly but surely focusing on older/smaller ‘stuff’, not quite sure why but I eschew modern big trains etc. for crappy little trains.

This photo taken at Thomasmühle in 1975 is rather nice.

Piko V100
After the V60 and V180 series locomotives entered service in the early 1960s, it quickly became apparent that there was a need for a locomotive in between, especially since many tender locomotives in this performance range were still in service and available for replacement. After only about a year of development, the V100 001 was presented at the Leipzig Spring Fair in March 1964. The rather angular and functional design of the V100 certainly attracted attention during the era of kidney-shaped tables. While the V100 001 was painted blue, the V100 002 received a reddish-brown paint scheme. The V100 003, delivered in 1966, was white and turquoise green. Series production of the V100 began in 1967 with the V100 004, and approximately 865 locomotives were manufactured before production ended in 1978.
First some links
Here's an overview: The first motor type M5 (left), the M6 version in the middle, and the slightly modified version from the later Gützold models in the hobby range on the right. The glare shield for the bulb, which was only present initially, is clearly visible, as is the modification to the driveshaft. The bronze-colored spring plates for current collection, which we'll discuss shortly, are also clearly visible. |

Gützold SVT137
The DRG Class SVT 137 was a class of streamlined diesel railcars of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft and later of the Deutsche Bundesbahn (as class VT 04) and the Deutsche Reichsbahn, 133 units were built between 1934-36
DRG SVT 137 225 "Bauart Leipzig" was used by the GDR government until 1975. In 1991 this train was repainted in its original colours. Today it is exhibited at Leipzig Hauptbahnhof.
This model is a SVT137 made in the ‘60s by Gützold in Zwickau. It was acquired because in September 1951, the SVT137 based in Berlin made a trip to the Rennsteig.
The model is fitted with a skate and was described as AC compatible, whether or not all the wheels are live (in-insulated) is not known. Below is what should be inside:-
